Globalization Index 2018

Panama is once again at the top of Latin Trade’s Globalization Index, which ranks country’s weight on GDP of its exports, imports, remittances, tourism receipts and foreign direct investment (FDI), as well as its internet penetration rate. Two countries climbed three spots from the previous year in the overall index: Chile (No. 5) and Ecuador (No. 11). Chile saw one of the best internet penetration rate changes in the index, from 66 percent up to 82 percent.
