Multilatinas saw their total revenues grow 4.3 percent in the third quarter of the year, compared with the same period a year ago, Latin Trade’s most recent Multilatina Index shows. In the third quarter, growth was driven mainly by Argentina’s Tenaris, unit of Grupo Techint, with a 92.3 percent surge in revenue compared with the third quarter of 2017. This index saw eight companies post drops in their results, of which the steepest were Argentina’s Arcor with a 40 percent plunge, followed by Chile’s Cencosud (-28.3 percent) and Brazil’s BRF (-20.6 percent).
