Total trade between South Korea and Latin America reached $42.27 billion last year, a 13.6 percent drop compared with 2014, according to Latin Trade’s latest Korea-Latin America Trade Index. In terms of percentage growth, Venezuela is the definite winner, climbing five places from the previous ranking with an 87.3 percent growth. Mexico remains in first place with total bilateral trade reaching $14.35 billion, up 1.7 percent from 2014. The figure is significantly higher than the ranking’s second spot, Brazil, with total trade reaching $9.5 billion, a 30 percent plunge from the year before.
