Carmakers in crisis-ridden Brazil are looking for the way out

The shock was made even worse by the fact that they did not really see it coming. Earlier forecasts have proven far too optimistic. Domestic sales fell by 7 percent last year compared to 2013, and they have been collapsing this year ( – 20 percent in the first nine months of this year, compared to the same period in 2014).
