Jeep launches first Latin American plant in Brazil

By Thierry Ogier in Brazil Jeep, now part of the Fiat Chrysler Group (FCA), has just launched a new $1-billion plant outside Recife in the north-east of Brazil. The plant, in the small town of Goaiana, stands where sugar cane plantations used to be when the project was launched 5 years ago. Jeep intends to churn out 250,000 models there from next year.
