Sales of cloud technology saw triple-digit growth

By Mark Keller

Last year was a good year for SAP in Latin America: the German multinational closed 2013 with 26 percent growth in revenues. This was led by strong growth in software – especially in cloud software, which grew by triple digits, as well as big data, innovation, and enterprise resource planning, the company’s traditional strength. “2013 was a strong year for the company, and we expect 2014 to be even stronger,” Gonzalo Benedit, SAP President for Northern Latin America told LBC, reflecting the strong growth the company has experienced in the region the past few years. “Companies are continuing to grow and adopt new technology, and SAP is there to support those transformations,” he said in an exclusive interview. Benedit talked about what drove the company’s success in 2013, shared his company’s plans for the region in 2014, and highlighted what he sees as the most important developments for the technology industry.
