DHL hedges its bets on Latin America
Global logistics firm DHL Express is bullish on Latin America says Stephen Fenwick, the company’s CEO for the Americas. Latin America makes up approximately half the profits for the Americas, and as a region with growing trade, and an “entrepreneurial spirit,” the region is a great place for investment says Fenwick. In order to better facilitate the flow of trade between Latin America and the world, the company has expanded its capacity at Miami International Airport, opened an advanced distribution center in Santiago, Chile, and invested millions in Colombia based on projections of future growth. The company also does much to help SMEs in the region, and has a CSR campaign aimed at giving back to the people of the region.
