The Peruvian government is ready to make a large-scale intervention in the foreign exchange market to deter speculation against the Sol and to ease the pressures on appreciation of its currency. “We will capitalize the Central Bank if necessary,” the Peruvian Minister of Finance, Luis Fernando Castilla told Latin Business Chronicle.
