Brazilian airline TAM has the business class in Latin America, while Colombia’s Avianca is best when it comes to cabin comfort/service and food/beverage, according to a reader survey among business travelers in the region.
The survey, published by Latin Trade magazine, shows that Chile’s LAN maintains its position as the best airline overall thanks to receiving most votes in the categories ticketing/boarding and on-time performance and the second-highest scores on cabin comfort/service, food/beverage, frequent-flyer program and airport lounges.
"Battling for international business passengers in a fiercely competitive market, Avianca says that one of the ways it seeks to differentiate itself from other airlines is by offering superior on-board service at competitive prices," Latin Trade reports.
Meanwhile, Panama’s Copa also ranked among the four best airlines thanks to receiving the third-highest score in frequent-flyer program and fourth-highest score in food/beverage, ticketing/boarding and airport lounges.
The worst airline? Spain’s Iberia, which managed to receive the lowest score in all categories except food/beverage, where it only beat United Airlines, according to the survey, which is published in Latin Trade’s January/February issue.
