LAN, TAM, Avianca, American Ailines and Delta Air Lines win reader survey from Latin Trade magazine.

Chilean airline LAN, Brazilian airline TAM and Colombian airline Avianca were among the favorite airlines in the latest annual reader survey of Latin Trade magazine.
U.S. carriers American Airlines and Delta Air Lines also did well in several categories.
AIRLINES
LAN was ranked overall the top airline serving Latin America, having been rated the No. 1 or No. 2 carrier in seven different categories.
Here are the category winners:
Business class: TAM, Brazil
Cabin comfort/service: LAN, Chile
Food and Beverage: Avianca, Colombia
Frequent Flier Program: American Airlines, USA
Ticket/Boarding: Delta Air Lines, USA
On-Time Performance: Avianca, Colombia
Airport Lounges: LAN, Chile
HOTELS
Survey participants selected their No. 1 choices in leading business destinations. The list includes the Four Seasons Hotel in Mexico City, the Hilton São Paulo Morumbi, the InterContinental Buenos Aires, the W Santiago and the JW Marriott in both Bogota and Lima, among other top hotel properties in a total of 19 cities in 16 countries.
RESTAURANTS
Preferred restaurants for business meals and entertainment included venerable institutions like Restaurante Figueira Rubaiyat in Sao Paulo, Hotel Cipriani restaurant in Rio, Hacienda de los Morales in Mexico City and Cabaña Las Lilas in Buenos Aires. Famed Peruvian chef and restaurateur Gaston Acurio won kudos for his Astrid y Gaston restaurant not only in his native Lima but also in three other Latin American capitals.
CAR RENTAL
Dollar/Thrifty led the category, based on five rating criteria. Hertz was ranked number two.
