Intelsat: Steady Growth in Latin America

Brazil and media services are boosting Intelsat's growth in Latin America.

Despite the world recession, Latin America and the Caribbean provided a boost for results at Intelsat S.A. last year.

The world’s largest provider of fixed satellite services and the market leader in Latin America and the Caribbean, Intelsat logged 4 percent revenue growth for the region in 2009, and expects growth to remain at about the same level this year. "Much to our surprise, the recession only lightly touched the region," says Carmen González-Sanfeliu, Intelsat’s regional vice president for Latin America and Caribbean sales.
