Latin America Advertising: Better Than Expected

Argentina will see the strongest growth the next two years, while Chile will have the weakest performance.

Latin Americas ad market will fare better than expected this year, according to new estimates from
UK-based ad agency ZenithOptimedia.

The region is set to see total advertising expenditures of $30.6 billion, or 0.6 percent more than last year, the agency says. Thats better than the 0.2 percent increase it had predicted in July.

The improved estimate comes as the global outlook has worsened. ZenithOptimedia predicts a global decline of 9.9 percent this year, which is higher than the 8.5 percent fall it had predicted in July.

That means Latin America remains the fastest-growing ad market in the world. And next year, it will grow more than all other regions except for the Middle East and Africa.

Among the top seven ad markets, Argentina will see the strongest growth the next two years, while Chile will see the lowest two-year average.
