LBC: Record Sales and Hits

Traffic and sales set new records at Latin Business Chronicle during the first half of the year.


The first half of 2008 marked another milestone for Latin Business Chronicle. We set new records in hits, page views, unique visitors and subscription sales.

The number of hits reached an average of 2.0 million per month, an increase of 67 percent from the first half last year. Page views grew by 63 percent to an average of 943,272. And the number of unique visitors reached 21,881 per month on average, an increase of 28 percent from the first half last year.

The strong growth this year follows 2007, which had marked a new record as well. We registered a total of 17.5 million hits and 7.9 million page views during the year. The monthly average was 1.5 million hits and 658,100 page views. Unique visitors averaged 18, 221 per month.


Meanwhile, subscription sales in the first half grew by 36 percent compared to the same period last year, thanks to an increase in both new subscriptions as well as renewals. "The U.S. economic slowdown isn't affecting our target audience of U.S. executives doing business in Latin America - likely because that region represents the highest - or second-highest - growth market for their companies," says Joachim Bamrud, editor-in-chief of Latin Business Chronicle.

New subscribers during the first half include Aegis Group, Black & Decker, Continental Airlines, Jones Lang LaSalle, L'Oreal, Lufthansa, Maersk, MasterCard, Microsoft, Motorola, Pepperidge Farm, SAP, Siemens, Sony, UBS and Zim.
