Unisys, Sun and HP posted the strongest growth in Latin America server revenues. IBM replaces Dell as second-largest unit vendor.

Unisys boosted its Latin America server revenues by 72.5 percent last year to $61.5 million. That was the strongest growth of any vendor, according to new data from Gartner.
Latin Americas total server market grew by 8.8 percent to 2.3 billion last year. That means Latin America grew more than twice the rate worldwide - 3.8 percent. "The Latin America server market has exceeded all expectations," says Lillian Alvarado, Gartners Latin America server analyst. "It has posted very strong growth."
Sun Microsystems posted the second-highest growth - 37.1 percent - to $138.8 million. Hewlett-Packard also posted strong growth: 32.4 percent to $583.5 million. Dell didnt grow at the same levels, but fared relatively well, with 12.8 percent growth to $272.6 million.
