DHL's business is growing throughout Central America, helped in part by CAFTA and increased business with China.


DHL is seeing strong growth in Central America helped by good performances in all countries, company officials say. "We have seen g
ood growth in all five markets," says Jaime Quintana, vice president for Central America for DHL Express International Americas. Most of our busines has fortunately done very well [and] we have maintained our position."

DHL is the market leader in Central America, according to U.S.-based consultancy InfoAmericas.  Last year, DHL revenues in Central America were expected to grow by more than 20 percent and this year they will likely again grow by double-digits, Quintana says.


DHLs top markets in the region are Panama and Costa Rica. DHL operates its main Latin America hub from Panama, but that market is also growing...
