DHL, the market leader in express cargo in Latin America, boosts its revenues and expects further growth this year.


Roger Crook has reason to smile these days. As the CEO of DHL Express International Americas he oversees one of the most successful regions in the world for the German-U.S. logistics company.

"We had a very good year," he says. "The region was very profitable...There’s growth in most markets in Latin America because the economies are doing well."

DHLs Latin America growth last year was between 15 and 20 percent, says Crook, who declined to give specific figures.  Although DHL is the third-largest express carrier in the United States, it is the market leader in Latin America, according to John Price, president of InfoAmericas.
