Prestigious Miami-based business weekly selects Dominican web-developer
SANTO DOMINGO.- The prestigious business weekly Latin Business Chronicle is featuring a new look on its website, developed by Merit Designs, of the Dominican Republic.
Latin Business Chronicle says that it had evaluated web developing firms around the world before choosing Merit Designs, which provided similar web site solutions for leading Dominican newspapers including Hoy, Diario Libre and El Nacional as well as government telecom regulator Indotel, Banco Popular (the country’s largest bank), the Dominican Golf Federation, and Dominican Today.
”After five years with basically the same design, it was time to change,” says Joachim Bamrud, editor-in-chief of Latin Business Chronicle. “We hope our readers like the new design as much as we do,” he said in its website.
Bamrud feels that the new design will help further increase traffic in Latin Business Chronicle, which already is one Latin America’s fastest growing business media, and according to Webalizer, it posted 1,981,910 hits during the first half this year, a 281.4% hike from the same period last year.
Latin Business Chronicle’s number of readers has also risen sharply, from 5,261 in June 2005 to 28,348 in June 2006.
