Latin American Globalization
Panama is the most globalized nation in Latin America according to new data from the Latin Business Chronicle. Their first Latin American Globalization Index, available in their October online edition, ranked countries' interconnection with the world based on six different factors including exports, imports, remittances, Internet penetration and more.

Panama, Dominican Republic and Costa Rica topped the list of 17 nations. Argentina finished last. While the data here is interesting and informative, it will be even more helpful as trends develop over time. I hope the Latin Business Chronicle will continue these rankings so we can begin to see patterns emerge in the region's globalization.
