Latin American equities enjoyed a strong rebound in the first quarter of the year after being hit by a tumultuos 2015, according to the latest monthly S&P Dow Jones Indices Latin America Index Dashboard. All Latin American equity indices ended in green across the board, considerably benefitted by a weaker U.S. dollar following the most recent Fed rate guidance and steady oil prices, which posted the largest monthly gain in almost a year. While Developed Markets finished down 1 percent, a renewed enthusiasm for Latin America, especially in Brazil, helped the S&P Latin America BMI and the S&P MILA Pacific Alliance Select to gain 18 and 12 percent, respectively.
