How many wealthy people are there in Latin America?

According to the 2015 Wealth Report, prepared by the international real estate consulting firm Knight Frank, 9,902 of the world’s richest people live in Latin America. That’s 5.7 percent of the super-rich people in the world. Knight Frank defines ultra-high-net worth individuals (UHNWIs) as those whose personal fortunes exceed $30 million.
The report predicts a 50 percent increase in this group in Latin America by 2024.
The percentage rise over the last 10 years in the region is suggestive. The number of rich grew by 309 percent in Venezuela, 307 percent in Uruguay, 237 percent in Paraguay and 195 percent in Peru.
In 2014, Chile, Uruguay, Panama, Paraguay and Brazil were, in that order, the Latin American countries with the greatest number of rich in relation to the total population.
