Multilatina Index: Brazil’s Vale revenue soars 32 percent

Brazilian miner Vale is the revenue growth champion in the latest Latin Trade Multilatina Index. The mining giant’s revenues reached $29 billion in the fourth-quarter, up 32.6 percent from the same period a year before. But for steel pipe manufacturer Tenaris Argentina, things were far from shiny. The company reported a 40 percent plummet in revenue in the same period, to $4.2 billion. Tenaris has seen three years of consecutive drops in the index.
