Central America has been left out of the story of Latin America’s rise: U.S. Vice President Joe Biden

The 20th anniversary of the annual CAF Conference kicked off on Wednesday with a pledge by U.S. Vice President Joe Biden to continue the United States’ committment with Latin America so that the the region can reach its maximum potential and make the Western Hemisphere “the most important hemisphere in the world”. But, he added, “for too long, Central America has been left out of the story of Latin America’s rise,” referring to the potential for that region to connect North and South America.
