Florida sends largest business mission to Mexico since 1999 A group of 90 businesspeople and directors of ports from Florida will begin today a mission in Mexico seeking to strengthen bilateral maritime business. “We want to take advantage of ports, as traditionally, trade between Mexico and the U.S. has always been by land,” said José Antonio Zabalgoitia, Mexico’s consul in Miami. Mexico is the second or third-largest trade partner for 27 U.S. states, but the sixth-largest for Florida.
