Although yesterday’s signing event looked like the end of the 52-year war of the Colombian Government against the FARC guerrilla, it is not so. There is one more signing of yet another document, probably in late July or early August, which would kick off the disarmament of the insurgents, a process which could last until December. The presence of the international community could be highlighted as the most important element of yesterday’s ceremony.
