The 16th Annual Latin Trade Symposium & BRAVO Business Awards

Led by Brazil’s Foreign Minister Celso Amorim and culminating with Álvaro Uribe, former president of Colombia, the 10 winners of the 16th bravo Business Awards were feted at an evening gala reception. Nearly 400 leading business executives, government officials, academics and environmental and humanitarian leaders attended the annual dinner and ceremony at the Four Seasons Hotel in Miami on October 29.
The gala celebration capped a day of activities that began with the Latin Trade Symposium, which is organized in partnership withthe Inter-American Development Bank and the Americas Society/Council of the Americas.
The 2010 BRAVO honorees, pictured above from left to right, were: Pacific Rubiales Energy CEO Ronald Pantin (Pioneering CEO of the Year); Intel World Ahead Vice President and General Manager John Davies (Technology Leader of the Year); Mexichem CEO Ricardo Gutiérrez Muñoz (CEO of the Year); former President Uribe (Lifetime Achievement Award); Instituto Nectandra President Álvaro Ugalde (Environmentalist of the Year); Instituto Trabajo y Familia President, First Lady of Peru Pilar Nores de García (Humanitarian of the Year); Foreign Minister Amorim (Innovative Leader of the Year); BNDES President Luciano Coutinho (Financier of the Year); Arcos Dorados CEO Woods Staton (Dynamic CEO of the Year). Luis Alberto Moreno, president of the Inter-American Development Bank (pictured at right) received an award for Distinguished Service in the Hemisphere.
