Celebrating the 15th Bravo Business Awards 1996 – 2009

The winners of the 2009 BRAVO Business Awards join a long list of achievers in Latin America and the Caribbean. This commemorative issue also honors the previous 14 groups of BRAVO Business Award winners by providing updates on their lives and careers on the following pages. The list includes the two editions of the awards given in 1998. The past decade and a half also witnessed an economic and political transformation of the region, the highlights of which are sketched out in our timeline. The timeline begins even before the BRAVO Business Awards were initiated to mark the key moment in 1989 when the “lost decade” came to an end, ushering in an era of burgeoning trade and investment that would not have been possible without solving the debt crisis.
